2010 For Me

Once again, the LORD has brought me through yet another year. 2009 was by far is my favorite year. Each month, something superb happened. The Lord has surely blessed me. From school all the way to a certain celebrity recognition. I will focus on the hardships as well, just to make this blog seem like a story worth telling, because it is.

JANUARY- Here at Full Sail University we have to take Math & English courses, otherwise it would not be considered a university. Long story short, I was failing tests in Math and almost decided o drop out of school, until Ma convinced me to stay. Guess what? I passed Math with a 76%. Thank the LORD.

FEBRUARY- Passed more classes and the Steelers won the Super Bowl!!!

MARCH- Passed more classes and saw that HORRIBLE film called Watchmen.

APRIL- Passed more classes, began my dieting program & saw a RIDICULOUS adaptation of my favorite anime Dragonball.

MAY- Passed more classes, saw a BOAT LOAD of movies and turned 19 on May 17th.

JUNE- By now you get that I keep passing my classes, so I'm gonna stop posting it because you get the point. But this month was also a sad month. I lost one of MY favorite musicians/entertainers MICHAEL JACKSON. He was probably you're favorite artist too, but some of you guys are two faced hypocrites. I supported this man during his trials and listened to his music before his death. He will forever be the greatest entertainer of ALL TIME!!

JULY- This was a frenetic month. The key word is "comic". One of my favorite entertainers, Tyrese Gibson, announced the releasing of his comic book MAYHEM. As eager a comic book fan I am, I was thrilled to see him come into the comic book realm. So I did several video blogs(Douglas Blog 42 on YouTube) about it and Tyrese himself became a fan and followed me via Twitter. As I did those blogs, I wanted to check and see other perspectives of his comic book. Low and behold, most of the bloggers had NEGATIVE things to say. Honestly, or personally I should say, I think if I were not a Black male promoting a Black comic, none of this would happen. Now, I supported this comic to the fullest. I bought all 3 comics and also made purchases on Itunes. Some people are so fake. They probably bought the 1st issue and never cared about the others. I am a LOYAL Mayhem fan. And I can not wait for the next story arcs. Haters, thank you for the word of mouth for this book.

AUGUST- Nothing much to be honest.

SEPTEMBER- Kanye blasted Taylor Swift at the VMAs. It was still uncalled for.

OCTOBER- I went to the hospital because of dehydration or lack of sleep. The doctors still have no clue what caused me to pass out. But by the grace of GOD I am living.

NOVEMBER- My Mama came down to Orlando for Thanksgiving. And I finally saw Slumdog Millionaire.

DECEMBER- I made it through another year. That's all I could say.

I would like to thank everyone who took their time to read this. I truly appreciate it. If you want more of me and my antics, check me out at the sites below. GOD BLESS YOU!!

Japanese Media

If you know me, then you must automatically know that I highly admire the Japanese culture. From there animes down to their films, I am a huge fanatic of the Japanese culture. They do things so differently than American Cinema. Their animes are more like PG-13 films.

But one thing I like about the Japanese media, is that they know more about twists. I really admire their style.

VMAs 09

What happens when you get a British Comedian, amazing performances and Kanye acting a fool? Give up, it's the MTV Video Music Awards. Last night, my spirit was obligated to the television set. There was no way in hell I was gonna pass this show up. Also, because I am an award show junkie. I picture myself either being nominated or just being in the audience taking in the action live. Back to the subject, MTV has done it again. They usually serve the best award shows that could be delighted by everybody. So please focus your eyes and opinions as I break down the highlights of this madness of an award show.

The show started with Madonna giving an inspirational speech on MJ. She had some good points in the speech by the way. Afterwards, a tribute to MJ begun with the dancers from America's Next Best Dance Crew. Following their performance was Janet performing one of my favorite songs SCREAM. She blew everybody away including myself. To sum it up, BET should take notes on what a tribute is really suppose to be. MTV's tribute is too hard to put on a scale. They did an AWESOME job.

So now Russell Brand comes out and does his thing. He acknowledges the things he said at the previous year's award show like the Jonas Brothers purity rings and how they forgave him and Obama now being President in which he wanted us as Americans to vote for him. I think he is the best host thus far for any award show if you ask me. Now the first award is given to Taylor Swift. Low and behold out of nowhere, Kanye gets on stage and claims Beyonce should have won the award. Although many of us were thinking it, that was HIGHLY uncalled for. I really felt bad for Taylor Swift. From what I hear, she was crying before her performance. My friends and Mama made me realize that Beyonce is going to win an array of awards in her career, so it was time for someone else to win as well. Ironically, Beyonce won VIDEO OF THE YEAR. She did not have a speech, rather she told Taylor Swift to come out and finish hers. Which also gave her a standing ovation for her respectfulness. Kanye is still my favorite rapper, but his actions were unnecessary for real.

The performances were off the hook as well. Even though I am not an avid rock fan, those types of performances were great for what they were. Beyonce shut it down along with her husband Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. But, when Lil Mama hopped on stage, it was one of those moments where you're like "What the hell?" . Lady Gaga performance was okay, maybe because I can not stand her and think she is fully eccentric. But the things she was wearing last night really proved my point. Also, Wale and the other artists who performed during the breaks were good as well.

To conclude my review, the show was beyond my expectations. I felt proud to watch it. Congratulations to all the winners. I know all of them worked hard. I am really pumped to see what they have in store for next year's show. Hopefully Russell Brand comes back. Overall, I give the show five stars out of five.

Captain EO

It seems as though Disney has came to their senses. Michael Jackson's Captain EO will return to Disneyland. For those who don't know, it was a 3D attraction held a the Disney Theme Parks. But coming this January, MJ will take another journey at Disneyland. As a fan of both Disney & MJ, I can't wait.

Here's a piece of what to expect. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUxk2adMtWs

Disney buying Marvel

Today, word is out that Mickey will finally get to shoot webs with Spider-Man & other Marvel Superheroes. In case you haven't noticed, Disney owns Marvel now. It seems to me that Disney wants to own every franchise now. Power Rangers, Muppets, Doug(Originally a Nickelodeon cartoon) & now Marvel.

From my understanding, Disney wants to expand their audience, since girls are usually targeted towards Disney. Which is not the case. Although Disney is highly recognized for their animation department, they usually do target the female audience. If you disagree, here's proof. The princesses, a majority of the shows and original movies about females and need I say "High School Musical".  Disney also has male oriented things as well, such as the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise(which by the way is SUPERB  ). Also, Pirates of the Caribbean & Tron. Did I forget to mention they have Jerry Bruckheimer?

To get off topic for a second, I grew up on Disney way before PIXAR became it's demolisher. But when they acquired the rights to the Muppets, I hate to say it but, they screwed them over. The Power Ranger franchise, grew up on it as well, Disney screwed this one up to the maximum. When Saban owned PR, they heavily used Sentai footage, which PR is based from. Now Disney uses their own footage, wack storylines and no punches to the head.

To get on topic again, who knows what in the world Disney will do with Marvel. Marvel would do best if Disney would let them handle their own business as they distribute. Disney knows how to target females and families, but can they target comic book fans and males too?

This is not a hatred blog towards Disney, I grew up on them. Without them, Jim Henson and many other child hood memories, I would not be in film school. I mean if they do good business with Marvel, kudos to them. I am just asking is that they do not harm popular franchises for the greed of money.

Can't stand this.

Usually, I get a bit frustrated when people do the following things. Whenever I ask a rhetorical question, folks always try to get an attitude and say stuff like "Did you not hear me Christopher?" It pisses me off to be honest. And as I am a friendly person, at times I would like to answer back in a rude manner, but I won't.

I hate when people take my kindness for weakness. If I were an evil person, everyone's deeds and feelings would be hurt. But me being evil isn't the direction GOD wants to me to walk. So now I have to live with folks thinking I'm a pushover. So all of you reading this, all I can ask is that you pray for me.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

Since 7th grade, I was immediately fond of this franchise. The craft with the Disney characters and Final Fantasy characters just makes this game a classic. This right here is a prequel story.

New to this

Okay, so this is my first blog. Not sure what to write about because I'm new to this. But I will intend to keep you all posted via YouTube and here.
