Comics I've read from 2/17-2/22

So as a vast comic reader. I happened to stop by my local library to check out a few graphic novels. I came across Marvel 1602, Road to War of Kings & The Incredible Hercules. All of them well written. For me, story & character are a big deal. These novels happened to abide by that. Also, I stopped by my local comic shop to pick up 2 comic books and a graphical novel for Black History Month, which were DoomWar,War Machine:Dark Reign & New Avengers: Search for the Sorcerer Supreme. Bare with me as I explain them all.

1. Marvel 1602- The story is written by Neil Gaiman, who is a very popular author by the way. The story has the Marvel characters we know and love in a different time period. I enjoyed the twist on Marvel events and I must Gaiman did a good job.

2. Road to War of Kings- As much as I love Space and science fiction, this one took me to infinity and beyond. Marvel knows how to create superhero story lines and cosmic story lines very well.

3. The Incredible Hercules- Basically a Marvel retelling of Hercules but with a Marvel twist. Hercules is accompanied by Amadeus Cho, a smart ass character, who is also a genius. Together they over come obstacles to dodge S.H.I.E.L.D.

4. DoomWar- Doctor Doom invades Wakanda. Now it's up to Black Panther and the X-Men to save the day.

5. War Machine:Dark Reign- Rhodey is back at it again but with Iron Men like allies,Bethany Cabe and some other guy I forgot, try to stop Norman Osborn's diabolical plan.

6. Search for Sorcerer Supreme- The New Avengers are reunited with Doctor Strange as they head down to New Orleans searching for an magical artifact. They run into Doctor Voodoo, he's a black version of Doctor Strange, to stop the possessed villain The Hood and Madame Masque'. The book is OFF THE HOOK.

I highly recommend you read all these. Books can take you to new worlds. I love traveling in literature and in the real world.
